Position Description:

The job requires experience as a team member in an Agile team environment authoring test scripts, performing test design and execution to support iterative product delivery.


Principal responsibilities:

The ideal candidate must have the ability to partner with development team members to design and execute early, iterative testing of sprint deliverables. General responsibilities are to develop, maintain, and extend manual test scripts as well as update, rewrite, and/or generate SQL scripts dependent on iteration goals and needs. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to develop and execute automated testing scripts. The candidate will work with development team members to ensure the scripts fully address the scope of the requirement or user story and review test artifacts with development team as needed. Execute manual and automated testing, monitor test progress, report status, log defects, track and test defect fixes, and retest and certify the code. Lead all testing efforts including functional, systems integration, user acceptance, and performance. Participate in requirements and technical design reviews to ensure clarity and usability. Participate in team process improvement.


Minimum Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field;
  • 6 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control;
  • 5 years minimum proven and successful experience creating and executing manual and
  • automated test scripts in an Enterprise software environment
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a consulting environment across multiple
  • projects

Preferred Skills:
 
  • Strong SQL and demonstrable backend testing experience
  • Strong ability to grasp new concepts and technology, then develop, write, and execute
  • test scripts
  • Experience in a scaled Agile environment
  • Experience in developing, executing, and troubleshooting automated test scripts using a
  • tool such as Selenium
  • Experience with Data Analysis
  • Experience with Continuous Testing in a Continuous Development and integration
  • environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective time management skills
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new concepts
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Communicate effectively
